What Makes an Agro-Industrial Company in Maharashtra? The Morgan Agrotech Model

An agro-industrial company connects farms to factories. Here is how Morgan Agrotech does it across dairy, feed and sourcing.

An agro-industrial company in Maharashtra turns what farms produce into products that reach people and other farms, with processing and quality systems in between. Morgan Agrotech Limited follows this pattern, and its model is easiest to see as one loop.

Farm: relationships and sourcing

The loop starts with farmers. More than 14,000 supply milk through collection centres, and the company’s agri-commodity trading, chiefly maize, supplies the raw material for feed. See the farmer network page.

Factory: processing and manufacturing

Milk is tested, chilled and pasteurised; maize and other ingredients are inspected, analysed, mixed and pelleted into Morgan Pashu Aahar. The steps are described in how milk is tested at a village collection centre and inside cattle-feed manufacturing.

Back to the farm: feed and by-products

Feed returns to farms for cows and buffaloes, and the planned grain ethanol project is designed to send by-products such as DDGS back into cattle feed once it operates. It is under development, as shown on the projects page.

Why it matters

Keeping the loop short means the company stays accountable to the same farming communities it buys from. For a view from the city where the company is based, read agribusiness company in Nashik, or start with the company overview.
